Isaiah 53:4-5 – Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:  the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

When a person is in physical pain it is hard to think straight.  However, we can begin our road to relief in the fact that Jesus understood physical pain.  The Bible says, in Hebrews 4:15, that Jesus experienced the “feelings” that come with infirmity and pain.  When He was crucified, He endured pain.  Because He understands what physical pain feels like, he bore it upon Himself so we would not have to.  Jesus does not want you to have pain.  In Isaiah 53:4, the word for sorrow in the Hebrew literally means to experience anguish and pain.  This is the kind of pain that makes a person cry. The word for grief in that verse is speaking about calamity and disease.  Jesus literally carried pain and disease for you.  Why do we still have pain then?  It is for the same reason that we still have any other trial in life.  Even though Jesus carried them and made a way for our deliverance, we still have to choose to obtain those promises by faith—we have to fight for them.  Salvation works the same way, we have to choose what Jesus provided and stay in the race even though many things would try to pull us off course.  Know today, that Jesus knows what you are feeling and He wants you to rest in His promise to relieve you right now.  Take a deep breath and ask Him for relief from pain today.  He wants you to overcome and supernaturally step into a life of being pain free!  Receive your relief from pain right now, in Jesus’ Name!
 

Father, I ask You for relief from all pain in my body today, because Jesus bore it upon Himself.  I command pain to leave every part of my body, in the Name of Jesus!  I fight for my covenant right to live free from pain.  I allow the calm and peace that comes from You, Lord, to wash over me and relieve me from pain right now.  In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
