Your Wonderful Counselor

[Saturday, May 12]

“I am your counselor,” says the Spirit.  “Hear My counsel, not just by what you hear with your ears, but let it unfold within you by My Spirit.  I long for My counsel to be your needed treatment and the safety guide in you.”

Prophetic Scripture:

Isaiah 9:6 - …and His Name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

God has made sure that the descriptive terms He uses to describe Himself paint a clear picture of His qualifications.  Yes, God is qualified to do the job He lists on His resume.  Here He states that He is a Wonderful Counselor.  What does that mean?  It means that He knows how to give perfect counsel to His clients and He is very good at what He does!  You will come away from an appointment with Him and say, “that was wonderful!”  He knows just how to get to your heart, dig out the root of the problem and deal with issues.  The best part is that He does it supernaturally.  The Lord can fix things in one miraculous moment.  You can receive the counsel of the Holy Spirit today, by spending time on His “therapy couch”.  That means you get alone with Him in the quiet of the moment, then talk and listen for His counsel.  Usually we look for people to give us counsel and God can certainly use them.  But, to make sure we are hearing good sources, it first begins with regular private appointments with the Wonderful Counselor Himself.  As you hear Him privately, He can give you “referrals” that you will be able to trust!  It is much better than trying anything out there that we can get our hands on for help.  Listen to the Wonderful Counselor today, He has just the treatment you need!

Jesus, You are my Wonderful Counselor.  I pay careful attention to Your guidance today.  I receive it not just as good advice, but as my total safety guide.  Open my heart to hear precisely, as I wait for Your voice.  Thank You that I can trust Your counsel and it will cause blessing and healing in me today.  In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
