Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he
that is in you, than he that in the world (1 John 4:4).

Many of us are very familiar with this verse of Scripture in First John 4:4. Yet, sadly, we don’t always talk and live like it’s true. This is one of those Bible verses that makes you think you can overcome and rise above anything. Did you know you can rise above anything? That is not because you or I are anything spectacular. We are well aware of our weaknesses. But thank God we don’t have to remain limited to these shortcomings. What we need is confidence in knowing that God is pushing us through to complete victory. Because the Lord is our propeller, so to speak, we need to see ourselves with the ability to stomp out any problem, but it first begins with the belief in our heart. We have to see ourselves rising above it! If we see ourselves failing, then we are literally saying that we don’t think God is helping us push through. Sure, sometimes when the pressure gets hot and heavy, you think, Where did you go, Lord? However, that’s when God just wants us to trust Him. He will push you through! So be confident today and know that no matter
what, because of God you can rise above it!

Father, I know that You are causing me to rise above every challenge today. I will not see myself in any form of defeat. I cast down every thought of failure and refuse to say anything contrary. I say today that I can rise above it! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
